Welcome to Macfriendly.com.

Macfriendly.com has two main purposes:

To provide a single location where Mac users can get information about pre-screened resources that welcome Apple Macintosh computer users

and...

To help Windows/PC users to be more aware of the online Macintosh community and how to effectively do business with us.

The 2 key words in the statement above are"pre-screened" and "welcome". Nothing appears on this web site unless it has been pre-screened to make sure it's Mac friendly. That means either I have personally checked it out, or one of our Mac visitors or newsletter subscribers has checked it out and recommends it.

I'm also on a mission to help the Windows community to better understand Mac users and how to make it easier for us to buy, communicate and do business with each other, especially on the Internet. Our PC friends for the most part, are simply not aware of some of the differences that make it difficult or inconvenient sometimes for us Mac users. My job is to help bridge that gap with this web site.

On this web site, you'll find a variety of ways to discover web sites, products and resources that welcome Mac users:

1) The Mac Friendly Directory. I extend an open invitation to anyone to submit resources for the Directory. The resource(s) must be Mac "friendly" or compatible for Macintosh users. These resources can range from web sites, software, publications, and more, and they don't have to be Macintosh specific. (Click Here to Add Your Resource. Click here for Submission Guidelines, or here for the FAQ.)

2) The Mac Friendly Blog. You'll find a variety of categories inside the blog that highlight interesting and useful resources for Mac users. I do a lot of research on my own and post what I find so you can benefit from them too. Other resources that I highlight in the blog come from submissions to the Directory and from visitors to Macfriendly.com. I try to keep things simple and not too technical, and it's just plain ol' writing with a personal touch.

3) Mac Friendly Talk - This area of Macfriendly.com consists of two distinct communities: Mac Friendly Forums, and Free Personal Blogs for you. I invite you to stop by to lurk, contribute and become a part of the various forums. I also invite you to set up your own free, personal blog right here on Macfriendly.com. It's a full-featured blog that you control and can have fun with.

4) The Mac Friendly Article Directory - This is a new and growing area of Macfriendly.com that offers you the opportunity to read articles, submit articles, and grab free content for your own web site, if you have one. There's a bunch of different categories there, so you'll find everything from Mac stuff, to Family, to business and other interesting topics. Articles to this directory, like everything else on Macfriendly.com, are pre-screened before acceptance.

5) Mac Friendly News Ezine - I invite you to sign up for my free newsletter, called (what else?!), Mac Friendly News. I promise to only send it out when I have something interesting to report, so for now, I can't promise you a regular schedule. Maybe later I'll offer that. :)

I have some other exciting things planned for Macfriendly.com, so be sure to visit often, and subscribe to the newsletter to be one of the first to know when the new things launch.

You can help me expand the Mac Friendly Directory and Macfriendly.com to better serve the Mac community by simply telling your friends about this web site. Use the convenient Tell-a-Friend page to send a quick, pre-written message about Macfriendly.com. If you have any friends or associates who have an Internet resource of interest to Mac users, ask them to add their resource for free to the Directory.

Thanks for stopping by Macfriendly.com. I hope you enjoy your visit and will stop by often. Please feel free to contact me with your questions or suggestions for the Mac Friendly Directory.

All the best to you,
